Spouse or Common-Law Sponsorship

Inland sponsorship: If you are citizen or permanent residence of Canada, you may sponsor your spouse to be Canadian permanent residence. If you are married and has legal marriage certificate from Canada or other country or living with someone for at least one year in a same house and has enough proof to show your relationship. 

Inland sponsorship application advantages and disadvantages:

Your spouse can apply for work permit when you have inland application. You can not appeal the decision on your application. In case your application refused, you can apply for judicial review. Outland Sponsorship: If you are citizen or permanent residence of Canada, you may sponsor your spouse to be Canadian permanent residence. If you are married and has legal marriage certificate from Canada or other country or living with someone for at least one year in a same house and has enough proof to show your relationship and also proof you intend of living in Canada after you receive your positive decision on your permanent residence application.
